Ukrainian troops destroy significant amount of Russian ammunition near Henichesk - Kherson Regional Council
Yuriy Sobolevsky, First Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional Council, says that on June 18, powerful explosions were heard in the Russian-occupied village of Rykove, Henichesk district
He said this on Espreso TV.
“We are keeping silent on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' successes on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region. However, in the case of Rykove village, Henichesk district, we can tell you that a very large enemy logistics center was destroyed there, as the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the ammunition depots. These are exactly the munitions that were sent to the positions of the occupation forces to shell our communities on the right bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region. Accordingly, the occupiers are not in a good mood there, they have closed the settlements near the territory hit by the Ukrainian army and are conducting 'filtration' measures. The explosions were very powerful, the detonation of ammunition continued for a long time, and could be heard in the neighboring settlements. The Ukrainian Armed Forces really did a great job there,” said Sobolevsky.
Sobolevsky added that information on civilian casualties as a result of the explosions in Rykove is being clarified, but no such data is available.
