Ukrainian soldiers continue their offensive in Bakhmut and Melitopol sectors
As of September 1, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue the offensive operation in the Bakhmut and Melitopol directions
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports this.
Our troops have succeeded in the Novodanylivka - Novoprokopivka area, where they have now secured their positions. They are causing damage to Russian military targets and engaging in counter-battery combat.
Additionally, south of the city of Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are advancing.
“The Ukrainian defense forces are still holding off Russian troops in the Lyman and Bakhmut regions. The enemy's attempts to launch offensives in the Novoyehorivka area have been unsuccessful, and intense fighting continues,” as reported by the press service.
Simultaneously, the enemy has carried out unsuccessful offensives near Marinka in the Donetsk region and Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region. These clashes have resulted in significant losses for the Russian troops in terms of personnel, weaponry, and equipment, forcing them to shift and deploy reserves.

Since the start of the full-scale conflict in Ukraine, the Russian army has incurred substantial losses: 263,490 soldiers, 4,459 tanks, 4,421 UAVs, and 8,613 armored combat vehicles.
