Ukrainian Armed Forces are continuing the offensive in the Melitopol direction, over 25 combat clashes took place at the front

Over 25 combat clashes took place at the frontline over the past day. This was reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a morning report on September 1.

In the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. 

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces launched an airstrike near Kozacha Lopan in the Kharkiv region and fired mortar and artillery shells at more than 20 settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv region.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian army delivered an airstrike near Kotlyarivka, Kharkiv region. The settlements of Borova, Kupyansk, and Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region were subjected to artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Lyman direction, Russian invaders unsuccessfully attacked Novoyehorivka, Luhansk region.

They carried out air strikes near Cherneshchyna in the Kharkiv region, Novoyehorivka and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Rai-Oleksandrivka in the Donetsk region. Artillery shelling damaged more than 15 settlements in Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian army carried out air strikes in the areas of Bila Hora and New York in the Donetsk region. More than 15 localities suffered from hostile artillery attacks.

In the Avdiivka direction, the Russian enemy fired artillery and mortar shells at 6 localities in the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive in the area of Marinka, Donetsk region. The Russian occupiers conducted unsuccessful offensives near Novomykhailivka.

They launched an air strike in the area of Krasnohorivka. 8 localities in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian forces attacked the areas of Vuhledar and Staromayorske in the Donetsk region. 7 localities of the region suffered from artillery shelling.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russian troops launched air strikes in the areas of 4 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 localities suffered from artillery shelling.

In the Kherson direction, the Russian army conducted airstrikes near Mykolaivka and Olhivka, fired artillery and mortars at 5 settlements in the Kherson region.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to carry out offensives in the Melitopol direction, consolidating their positions and conducting counter-battery operations.

Russian troops carried out 44 air strikes and 70 MLRS attacks on Ukraine

Over the past day, Russia carried out 1 missile and 44 air strikes, fired 70 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been destroyed.

Ukrainian Armed Forces strike at Russian troops’ concentration areas and destroy 2 radar stations 

Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian defense forces carried out 14 strikes on the areas of Russian personnel concentration and 4 on their anti-aircraft missile systems.

Missile and artillery units hit 1 artillery vehicle at a firing position and 2 Russian radar stations.

• On August 31, it was reported that the Ukrainian military continued their offensive south of the city of Bakhmut and were consolidating their positions. They also had success in the Novodanylivka-Novoprokopivka area.
