Ukrainian Royal Brigade neutralizes Russian BMP-2 in Luhansk region
The 24th King Daniel Separate Mechanized Brigade has neutralized a Russian infantry fighting vehicle (BMP) in the Luhansk region.
The brigade shared an update on the operation, Espreso.West reports.
"BMP-2 ammunition detonated after successful calculations by the STUGNA-P anti-tank missile system with the Royal Brigade in Luhansk region. The turret of the Russian combat vehicle, weighing more than 2 tons, gloriously flew into the air. Glory to Ukraine," the statement reads.
The BMP-2 (Infantry Combat Vehicle-2) is a Soviet infantry tracked combat vehicle designed to transport personnel to the front line, increase their mobility, armament and security on the battlefield in the use of weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear, joint action with tanks during combat.

The brigade is named after King Daniel - the ruler of Ruthenia, a prominent statesman and military leader in the Middle Ages.
Since the beginning of the Russian aggression in 2014, parts of the brigade have been involved in numerous conflict zones in eastern Ukraine. The brigade's fighters are also involved in responding to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
