Ukrainian robots to be used at NASA, official says
NASA has initiated cooperation with DroneUA, a resident company of Diia.City, and has received a test batch of Ukrainian robots for trials in Virginia
This was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development and Minister of Digital Transformation.
In Virginia, the test batch of robots will undergo trials to determine the most effective applications for them. Fedorov emphasized that the cooperation was initiated by NASA itself, and the developers at DroneUA hope to establish a long-term partnership with the agency soon.
“The war has given a powerful boost to the defence tech market, and our technologies are advancing rapidly. One of our goals is to export this technology, which could bring billions to the state budget. DroneUA is a great example of how this can work. Ukrainian technologies are effective everywhere — on land, in water, and now in space. I’m proud of our talented developers who are shaping an innovative future,” Fedorov concluded.
