Several ceasefire proposals for Ukraine are on table, says UK government
The UK government confirms multiple ceasefire proposals for Ukraine but refrains from commenting on details, as EU leaders discuss peace initiatives

This was stated by the spokesperson for UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Reuters reports.
London’s statement came after French President Emmanuel Macron announced the idea of a "partial truce" in the air, at sea, and concerning energy infrastructure.
"There are clearly a number of options on the table. I 'm just not getting into a running commentary on the options," Starmer’s spokesperson said.
The news agency recalls that on March 2, an EU leaders' summit dedicated to Ukraine took place in London. Following the summit, the British Prime Minister announced an agreement to develop a peace plan for Kyiv and present it to the United States.
- On March 2, Macron outlined his plan for Ukraine: several weeks of negotiations, followed by an air, sea, and energy ceasefire for a month, and then the deployment of peacekeepers.
- The next day, the British government stated that London and Paris had not agreed on a common vision for the idea of a "partial truce" in Ukraine.
