Ukrainian pilots inflict painful blows on invaders’ rear, command and logistics under constant fire - Air Force 

Yuriy Ihnat, spokesperson for the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said this at the Ukraine Media Center.

"You see the results of our pilots' combat work all the time. This is evident in Russian public media, and the occupiers themselves write about it. Therefore, it is no secret that the pilots who are fighting today under constant regular enemy strikes have appropriate precautions, for example, they use the actions of military command and control bodies competently in such conditions, and not only save equipment and people's lives, but also inflict painful blows on the occupiers’ rear, their command and logistics," Ihnat said.

According to the speaker, in order to deceive Ukrainian air defense, the Russian forces use false targets in the form of balloons, cheap UAVs, electronic targets created by electronic warfare systems that appear in the frontline areas and imitate missiles. 

"Ultimately, the Air Force is ready for such tactics. The only issue is the lack of means that would help us destroy enemy missiles on the outskirts of the Ukrainian border," the military added.

At the same time, Ihnat emphasized that airfields, critical infrastructure, industry, and port infrastructure remain the targets of the Russian Federation, which will be their priority: "Airfields are always in the enemy's crosshairs, and our pilots are causing damage to the occupiers."

• In the morning, it was reported that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Federation has lost 254,920 soldiers. On August 14, the Ukrainian Defense Forces and the Russian army clashed 15 times at the front.
