Russian army loses 540 soldiers, 7 tanks and helicopter in one day of war

General Staff report: Over 20 killed and 40 wounded in Zaporizhzhia region: Kadyrov's men and Dagestanis clash during propaganda filming

In Mykhaylivka, Zaporizhzhia region, while Russian propagandists were filming a video featuring a high-ranking Chechen commander. Chechens and Dagestanis started a verbal dispute, during which they opened fire on each other with small arms.

It is noted that during the clash, one of the invaders suffered injuries incompatible with life. This led to an open confrontation between the units using grenade launchers, grenades and small arms.

As a result of the fighting, which was successful for the Dagestanis, more than 20 killed and 40 wounded invaders were recorded on both sides. The commander of the Chechen unit was punished by being sent to the front lines.

Russia launched 14 missile and 72 air strikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions and Ukrainian settlements over the past day 

In total, the Russian Federation launched 14 missile and 72 air strikes, fired 63 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population.

Residential buildings, a shopping center, a student dormitory, kindergartens, schools and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

At the same time, the Aviation of the Defense Forces conducted 1 strike on the control center, 7 strikes on the areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration and 3 strikes on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile system. The Ukrainian military also destroyed an enemy Ka-52 attack helicopter.

Missile and artillery units struck 2 areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration, 3 artillery units at firing positions and 1 Russian electronic warfare station.

More than 15 combat clashes took place in the frontline: the situation in different directions

Near the Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. 

Russia launched air strikes in the border areas of Sumy region. Mortars and artillery were fired at more than 25 settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

Kupyansk direction: the Russian forces launched air strikes in the areas of Ivanivka, Zahryzove in Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region. More than 15 localities came under enemy artillery and mortar fire in the Kharkiv region.

Lyman direction: the Russian troops conducted air strikes in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Spirne, Donetsk region. More than 25 localities of the region were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.

Bakhmut direction: the Russian invaders carried out air strikes in the areas of Vasiukivka and Klishchiivka in Donetsk region. More than 25 localities of the region suffered from hostile artillery shelling.

Avdiivka direction: the Russian enemy conducted an air strike in the area of Avdiivka. Five localities in the Donetsk region underwent artillery shelling.

Marinka direction: the Russian army attacked the area of Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. More than 10 localities of the region were subjected to artillery shelling.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Russian occupiers launched air strikes in the areas of Velyka Novosilka, Blahodatne, Makarivka and Urozhaine in Donetsk region. More than 10 localities were shelled with artillery.

Zaporizhzhia direction: the Russian forces conducted an air strike in the area of Novodanylivka, Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 localities of the region suffered from hostile artillery shelling.

Kherson direction: the Russian military launched an airstrike near Olhivka, Kherson region. Over 20 localities were subject to artillery shelling, as well as the city of Kherson.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations on the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, consolidate their positions, and carry out counter-battery activities. 

• On the night of August 15, the Russian army launched a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine. So far, there have been reports of missiles hitting homes and enterprises in Dnipro, Lviv, and Lutsk, causing casualties and damage.
