Ukrainian parliament asks UNESCO to revoke Russia's membership
On July 28, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine called on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to revoke Russia's membership

This decision was supported by 296 lawmakers.
According to the draft resolution, the Council called on UNESCO to revoke Russia's membership in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and its bodies.
Immediately send a mission to Ukraine to assess the destruction caused by Russia's attacks on World Heritage sites in Lviv and Odesa, and to establish UNESCO's assistance and protection. The parliament also asks foreign countries to ensure the investigation of crimes within national and international jurisdictions.
- UNESCO condemned the July 6 rocket attack on Lviv. The city is holding talks with the organization to help rebuild the buildings, which are historical heritage sites.
- On July 22 and 23, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) condemned Russia's missile attack on cultural sites in Odesa.
