Ukrainian National Guard neutralizes Russian saboteurs' position in Maryinka
Ukrainian National Guard has neutralized the Russian saboteurs' position along with saboteurs using a mortar in Maryinka, Donetsk region.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs shared the update in its Telegram channel.
"This week, the Russian grenade launcher entered an uncontrolled 'gray' zone of Maryinka settlement. Saboteurs, armed with RPG-7, took up residence in one abandoned dilapidated building. Although the Soviet RPG-7 grenade launcher is a rather primitive weapon, it can cause irreparable damage," the ministry said.
From the very beginning, Ukrainian defenders noticed Russian saboteurs taking a position. For two days, the National Guard watched them around the clock to find out their plans and wait for the right moment. On the morning of the third day, Russian saboteurs began to set up a firing point on the roof of the house and fortify themselves.
"Aiming a mine with a 120-mm mortar mortar platoon subordinated to the Central Operational-Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine quickly destroyed the Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group's plans. The target was neutralized. The Russian manpower was neutralized," the ministry said.
