Ukrainian forces stabilize situation near Vuhledar, destroying Russian equipment
Arseniy Prylipka, head of the public relations service with the 72nd Detached Mechanized Brigade, says that the Defense Forces have destroyed 90% of Russian equipment near Vuhledar
He said this on Espreso TV.
"The situation has now stabilized, but a week ago the Russian troops tried to shape our positions. The enemy failed to do so. We destroyed about 90 percent of the enemy's equipment used to storm Vuhledar and left the occupiers with nothing. The invaders are constantly shelling Vuhledar and frontline villages with artillery and aircraft," noted Prylipka.
According to the soldier, Vuhledar is a dominant height that is very important for the Russian troops.
"If the Russian forces take this height, it will be easier for them to advance further, and harder for us. Because then there is a lowland, and it is extremely difficult and illogical to hold the defense in a lowland. Vuhledar is also not far from Volnovakha, where there is a transportation hub, and this is what worries the enemy. Because, under the circumstances, it can become a bone in the invaders' throat. Vuhledar is a fortress that needs to be held, which is exactly what we are doing," emphasized Prylipka.
