According to him, the Russian Federation does not abandon its plans and continues offensive actions in several eastern directions simultaneously.
"Despite heavy losses, the Russians are attacking our units defending in the area of Kupyansk. In addition, the enemy has increased the use of ‘kamikaze’ drones. To the north and south of Bakhmut, Russian troops are trying to seize the initiative by launching counterattacks. However, our defenders are breaking all the plans and attempts of the occupants to seize our land," said the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Syrskyi emphasizes that Russia is losing its offensive capabilities every day.
"In two weeks, the invading Russian forces lost more than 4,000 people in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia separate military unit. More than 500 pieces of occupants' military equipment were destroyed and damaged," the statement says.
- There were 80 combat engagements in the frontline over the last day. Ukrainian defenders continue to conduct assault operations in the Bakhmut sector and repel enemy attacks. Ukrainian troops eliminated 920 occupants over the last day.
