Ukrainian forces repel 57 Russian attacks, 62 combat clashes occur in 24 hrs — General Staff

The General Staff's evening update says this.

During the day, Ukrainian aviation carried out 2 strikes on the areas of concentration of Russian personnel

In turn, missile units hit 3 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 6 artillery pieces, 2 control points and 2 ammunition depots of the Russian fors.

Russian army launched 31 air strikes and 9 missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine

Russia also fired 26 times from MLRS at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. In addition, Russia launched another air assault on Ukraine, using 18 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. Air defense forces destroyed 16 attack drones.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains challenging

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 20 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked.

Russian attacks in other frontline Ukrainian regions

• In the Kupyansk direction, 10 settlements of the Kharkiv region came under artillery shelling. 

• In the Lyman direction, about 10 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under Russian fire. 

• In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 18 enemy attacks in the areas of Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in Donetsk region. About 10 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

• In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled more than a dozen attacks, 15 settlements in the Donetsk region suffered from artillery and mortar shelling. 

• In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 15 Russian attacks, 7 settlements in the Donetsk region came under shelling. 

• In the Shakhtarsk direction, over 10 localities in the Donetsk region were shelled. 

• In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, about 20 towns and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the occupying Russian army.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue offensive operations in the Melitopol sector and offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut sector, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

• The so-called court of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic convicted the company commander of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade, Andriy Savchuk. The Russian-backed militants sentenced him to 16 years in high security prison.
