Ukrainian forces occupy strategically important heights in Klishchiivka near Bakhmut
Andriy Babichev, soldier with the 93rd Kholodnyi Yar Brigade, says the Ukrainian Armed Forces are advancing on three fronts: Orikhiv and Vasylivka, Berkhivka and Khromove, with greater success in the direction of Klishchiivka
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"For several weeks now bloody fighting has been going on in the Bakhmut sector on three fronts. The first one is in the direction of Orikhiv and Vasylivka, where the road to Sloviansk runs. We are making progress there, but the enemy is counterattacking us strongly. Thanks to our aviation, fighters and helicopters, we are making small progress. The main thing is that we are holding the highway and gnawing it away from the invaders. The second front is the direction of Berkhivka and Khromove, where we have made good progress towards Berkhivka. There are about 800 meters to the streets of this settlement. We have suspended our efforts in Khromove because the Russian troops have set up defenses in the forest belt. But we are practicing everything correctly and moving forward," said a soldier with the 93rd Brigade.
Andriy Babichev added that not everything is reflected on the Deep State map, the progress continues, but the AFU General Staff will report on it.
"Next we have Klishchiivka, where we are having even more success, where we occupy strategically important heights. There are less than 400 meters to the streets of this village. The fighting is slow because the delay is due to the enemy's dense mining of the area. In addition, the Russian forces continue to mine remotely, firing shells that scatter anti-personnel mines. Russian troops also make extensive use of FPV (First Person View) drones, hitting our equipment. However, the initiative is on our side, we are attacking and moving forward," he said.
