Ukrainian Armed Forces target 2 Russian air defence systems, ammunition depot and command post – General Staff 

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The Russian enemy continues to attack in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions - about 30 combat engagements took place during the day," the General Staff said.

Russian shelling of Ukrainian territory and the situation at the frontline:

Over the past day, Russia carried out 48 air strikes and fired 54 MLRS at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

The threat of missile and air strikes remains high across Ukraine.

In northern Ukraine, near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

The Russian forces maintain a heavy presence in the northern and north-eastern directions. 

They continue shelling the entire border line with mortars and artillery: over 35 settlements in the Sumy, Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions were attacked.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian enemy keeps trying to advance in the area of Novoselivske in the Luhansk region. Ukrainian soldiers are holding their positions and repelling all enemy attacks. The Russian occupiers launched air strikes in the areas of Ivanivka and Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region. 

In the Lyman direction, the Russian forces, during the offensive operations, tried to force Ukrainian troops out of their positions near Novoyehorivka, Luhansk region, but were unsuccessful. Russia launched an air strike near Bilohorivka, Luhansk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in the areas south of Berkhivka and Bohdanivka in Donetsk region. At the same time, the Ukrainian military continues to conduct offensive operations south and north of the city of Bakhmut, consolidating their positions. 

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defence forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive in the area of Avdiivka. At the same time, the enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Avdiivka and Nevelske. Russian forces shelled more than 10 localities with artillery. 

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled all Russian attacks in the area of Marinka. The Russian enemy launched an air strike near Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region, fired at more than 10 localities. 

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Russian forces carried out air strikes at 2 settlements in Donetsk region, and shelled more than 10 localities. 

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russia’s efforts are focused on preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops. The Russian army carried out air strikes on 2 settlements in the Kherson region, shelled more than 40 settlements. 

"The Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, consolidate on the achieved lines, inflict artillery fire on the identified enemy targets, and carry out counter-battery measures," the General Staff added.

Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes at Russian forces

Over the last day, Ukrainian aviation carried out 10 strikes on the areas of concentration of the Russian occupiers' personnel.

Missile and artillery units struck an area where manpower, weapons and military equipment were concentrated, a command post, an ammunition depot, 8 artillery systems at firing positions, 2 air defence systems, a radar station and 3 enemy electronic warfare stations.
