Ukrainian forces have partial gains in near Verbove in Melitopol sector – commander

General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi reported this on his Telegram channel.

"Ukrainian defense forces continue offensive operations in the Melitopol sector. We have partial success west of Verbove," he said.

He added that over the past day, the Russian army carried out 8 air strikes and fought 18 combat engagements. In addition, Russia fired 455 artillery rounds at Ukrainian positions. 

The missile and artillery units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces from the Tavria Operational and Strategic Grouping of troops carried out 795 fire missions over the past day, eliminating 147 Russians soldiers and targeting 6 pieces of Russian military equipment, including 2 tanks, 3 armored personnel carriers and one artillery system. The Ukrainian military also liquidated three Russian ammunition depots.

• Russian occupation forces intensified mining in the area of Robotyne and Verbove. Russia is trying to keep Ukrainian forces on the frontline as far away from its bases as possible.
