Ukrainian forces destroy 6 Russian ammo depots in one day, enemy suffers losses in weapons and equipment – military spokesman 

He told this on Espreso TV channel.

"Over the past day in the Tauride sector, enemy losses in killed and wounded amounted to 248 soldiers, 39 units of enemy weapons and military equipment were destroyed and damaged. Separately, we present the figures for ammunition storage sites - 6 depots were destroyed over the past day. In particular, among the destroyed and damaged enemy equipment are 4 tanks, 4 2A65 Msta-B howitzers, 4 2A36 Giatsint-B cannons, 3 D-20 cannons, 2C1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system and vehicles," informed the spokesman.

Valeriy Shershen noted that in general, in the Tauride sector the enemy continues to focus its main efforts on offensives in the area of Avdiivka and Marinka, the situation is without changes and controlled by Ukrainian forces.

"In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the Russian enemy is defending itself, but does not stop destroying the infrastructure of the localities. The enemy fired twice at Tarasivka, using artillery systems; destroyed a private house and a car, damaged the Ukrposhta building and 5 private houses, without any casualties. Over the past day, the Russian army launched air strikes on Novodanilivka and Stepove in Zaporizhzhia region, and fired at Vremivka, Burlatske, Novosilka, Zelene Pole, Novopil in Donetsk region; Olhivske, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Huliaypolske, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaki and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia region. Russian troops continue to shell the settlements bordering the contact line. The enemy is using drones to adjust artillery fire. Over the past day, the enemy attacked the positions of the Tauride Defense Forces 21 times, and after being repulsed, retreated. In total, 416 attacks by the enemy were registered in the Tauride sector over the last day," said Shershen.

• On May 22, the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that 37 combat engagements took place at the front over the day, and that enemy subversive reconnaissance groups were operating in some parts of the state border.

• Also on Facebook, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that the Russian army lost 720 soldiers, 2 tanks, an aeroplane and 8 UAVs in a day.
