Ukrainian Defense Industry, Rheinmetall collaborate for equipment production, localization

Rheinmetall, the German defense concern, has formed a joint venture with the Ukrainian Defense Industry Joint Stock Company: they will jointly maintain, repair and localize the production of equipment
Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, reported the information.
According to the Prime Minister, Rheinmetal - Ukrainian Defense Industry LLC was registered on October 18.
The joint venture will be engaged in the maintenance and repair of equipment provided by the partners to Ukraine. In addition, the company will localize the production of leading models of Rheinmetall AG equipment.
"The establishment of the joint venture is, without exaggeration, a landmark event that brings cooperation between our countries to a qualitatively new level and will allow us to build the arsenal of the free world together," Shmyhal emphasized.

Earlier, Rheinmetall received an order from the German government for over 150,000 artillery shells for Ukraine.
