The company's press service shared this news.
Rheinmetall received an order from its Spanish subsidiary, Rheinmetall Expal Munitions, for more than 100,000 155mm shells and additional DM 121 burst shells. It's mentioned that Ukraine will receive "several tens of thousands" of these shells in 2023, with the rest arriving in 2024. The total cost of the order is in the "hundreds of millions of euros."
This marks the third order for artillery ammunition within the framework contract with the Bundeswehr. The contract was signed in July and is valid until 2029.
