During the night of January 1, Ukrainian air defense has destroyed 45 Russian Shaked-131/136 UAVs

The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information.

"On the night from December 31, 2022 to January 1, 2023, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Iranian-produced Shahed-131/136 'kamikaze' drones," the statement says.

The Ukrainian Air Force reports the result: Ukrainian defenders destroyed 45 attack UAVs aimed at Ukraine.

The report specified that 13 drones were eliminated in 2022 and 32 in 2023.

On December 31, the Russian military attacked 8 regions of Ukraine: Ukrainian defenders shot down all 13 UAVs launched. Russian troops also launched 31 missile and 12 airstrikes.
On the night from December 31 to January 1, Russian troops struck the Kyiv region and Kyiv city. Ukrainian air defense eliminated 32 enemy objects.
On New Year's Eve, the Russian military twice shelled the Nikopol district, a 48-year-old woman was injured in an attack on a residential building.
