Ukrainian border guards shoot down Russian attack aircraft over Bakhmut
On the afternoon of February 7, Ukrainian border guards shot down a Russian attack aircraft over Bakhmut, Donetsk region. The pilot’s fate is yet to be discovered.

This was reported in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
"An enemy attack aircraft covered the infantry advancing on the defense line from the air. A MANPADS system in one of our units opened fire and shot down a Russian combat plane, preliminarily, a Su-25," it was said in the message.
According to the report, the plane was caught on fire after being hit by a missile and fell, the fate of the pilot is currently unknown.

On February 6, deputy commander of the Svoboda (Freedom) National Guard battalion, Andriy Kryvushchenko, said that the Russian occupying forces changed their assault tactics near Bakhmut.
