The Ukrainian military have launched a counteroffensive in four main direction and are making significant progress
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported the information.
"Ukrainian forces continued counteroffensive operations in at least four areas of the front on June 9. The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) claimed that Russian forces repelled limited and localized Ukrainian ground attacks in the Kreminna area. Ukrainian officials stated on June 9 that Ukrainian forces advanced 1.2 kilometers in continued offensive operations near Bakhmut on June 8," ISW experts said.
Furthermore, on June 9, Ukrainian troops carried out limited counteroffensive operations in the western part of the Donetsk region, resulting in significant tactical gains.
According to the experts, Ukrainian forces also continued ground attacks in the western part of the Zaporizhzhia region overnight from June 8 to 9 and during the day on June 9. Experts suggested that the Ukrainian armed forces had achieved significant success during the attacks.
