Ukrainian Armed Forces target Russian Ka-52 helicopter, 7 drones – General Staff

This is stated in the evening report of the General Staff.

Meanwhile, missile and artillery units struck the area where Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated, as well as 7 artillery pieces in the firing position, 2 electronic warfare stations and 2 Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

Russian enemy launched one missile and 49 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine

Russian forces also fired more than 40 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas, causing civilian casualties. Residential buildings and other infrastructure were damaged.

About 20 combat engagements took place on the frontline over the day

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire border line with mortars and artillery: over 20 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

Russian attacks in other Ukrainian regions

• In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces launched an air strike near Novoselivske in Luhansk region, 6 settlements in the Kharkiv region came under artillery and mortar fire.
• In the Lyman direction, the Russian enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area south of Dibrova, Luhansk region; launched an air strike near Spirne, Donetsk region. Five settlements in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions came under artillery fire.
• In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled enemy attacks in 2 areas of the Donetsk region. The Russian enemy launched air strikes in Klishchiivka and Dyliivka. More than 10 settlements suffered from enemy artillery shelling in the Donetsk region.
• In the Avdiivka direction, being under heavy Russian fire, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled attacks by Russian troops in the Avdiivka area. At the same time, the enemy shelled more than 10 settlements in the Donetsk region.
• In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defence forces continue to hold back the Russian offensive in the area of Marinka. 3 settlements in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire.
• In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Russian enemy launched an air strike near Makarivka and shelled more than 10 settlements in Donetsk region.
• In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy’s main focus is preventing further advance of Ukrainian troops. Russia carried out air strikes in 2 areas in Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 settlements came under artillery fire in the Kherson region. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, consolidating the achieved positions.

On the night of July 25, an air alert was triggered in Kyiv and a number of Ukraine’s regions, and air defence systems were operating on the outskirts of the capital, shooting down all the Shahed drones. However, there were hits in the Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions.
