Ukrainian Armed Forces repel attacks in 7 settlements

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

On October 11, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled Russian attacks in Mykolaivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Mayorsk, Pervomaiske and Krasnohorivka.

Russians try to hold the temporarily captured territories, concentrating their efforts on stopping the counteroffensive actions of Ukrainian Defense Forces, and also on offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions.

Russians continue shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops along the contact line, conduct remote mining of the territory in certain areas and conduct aerial reconnaissance. They attack civilian infrastructure and civilian homes, violating international humanitarian law, laws and customs of war. 

Russians launched one ballistic and 28 cruise missiles, 20 of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defense units in the last 24 hours.

Russians conducted 13 air strikes and launched more than 40 attacks from multiple missile systems. Objects and civilians of more than forty settlements were affected by these criminal actions.  Among them are Lviv, Popivka, Chugunivka, Ladyzhyn, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Pavlograd and Nikopol.

Also, Russians used 14 Iranian kamikaze drones to strike critical infrastructure in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions, twelve of these drones were destroyed.

There remains the threat of air and missile strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine.

There are no significant changes in the situation in the Volyn and Poliske directions.  In other directions, Russians shelled from fired mortars, tanks and artillery in areas:

• Siverskyi direction - Senkivka of the Chernihiv region and Seredyna-Buda, Novovasylivka and Sorokyne of the Sumy region; 

• Slobozhansk region - Strelecha, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Vovchanski Khutory, Staritsa, Dvorichna and Dvorichnena and Siverskna; 

• Bakhmut direction – Bilogorivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Odradivka, Opytne, Mayorsk Spirn and Yakovlivkana;

• Avdiivka direction – Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka and Novomykhailivkana;

• Novopavliv and Zaporizhzhia directions – Velika Novosilka, Neskuchne, Mali Shcherbaky, Orihiv and Chervone.

• Southern Bug direction: Russians continue shelling the positions of Ukrainians to deter the counterattack along the entire contact line. Russians shelled more than twenty settlements.  In particular, Velyke Artakove, Davydiv Brid, Blagodativka, Sukhyi Stavok, Shyroke, Ternovi Pody, Soldatske, Pravdyne and Myrne.

Ukrainian aviation conducted fifteen strikes in the last 24 hours. Thirteen areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, as well as two Russian air defense systems, have been damaged.
