Ukrainian Armed Forces leadership's approaches are justified - military expert on Ukrainian, Russian losses
Defense Express CEO Serhiy Zgurets says that the Ukrainian military is the main value around which Ukraine's offensive defense strategy should be built
He said this on Espreso TV.
"The New York Times article talks about losses on both sides in the war - 200,000 on the Ukrainian side, including 70,000 killed, 130,000 wounded, and 300,000 on the Russian side. These figures are based on the data of American journalists with American officials, partly Ukrainian. We have no other figures today. If we accept this assumption of losses, it means that the current approaches of the Ukrainian Armed Forces leadership to conduct an offensive operation, avoiding massive assaults, are fully justified," Zgurets emphasized.
According to the expert, the Ukrainian military is the main value around which the Ukrainian strategy of offensive defense should be built.
"If the war is already entering an exhausting stage with the use of Russian industry, European and US industry, then our most important resource is people. We have few human resources, and this should be the main value around which our strategy of offensive defense should be built. We have fewer people than the enemy. We need to create a system of offense and defense that takes into account our limitations," Zgurets said.
