Ukrainian Defense Forces hit a training camp of the Akhmat unit in the temporarily occupied Donetsk. Russia’s losses amount to 56 soldiers

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shared the information in its morning report.

Russia’s Akhmat unit has been sighted in the southwestern region of temporarily occupied Donetsk. They are looting civilians within that area of the city and shooting staged videos of fighting.

Therefore, on June 6, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a successful artillery strike targeting a training camp where militants had concentrated. As a result, the Russian troops lost 56 soldiers. The exact number of injured soldiers is being clarified.

In the occupied Crimea, the media do not report the destruction of the Kakhovka 

HPP by Russian troops and its consequences 

The General Staff says that there is a noticeable trend among local media in the temporarily occupied Crimea, especially in Simferopol, to ignore the Kakhovka HPP destruction by Russian troops and the resulting consequences of the disaster.

The local occupation authorities are concerned about possible panic among the population.

Russians launches 7 missile strikes, 43 air strikes, and 79 MLRS attacks at Ukraine in a day

On the night of June 9, Russia launched another missile and air strike against Ukraine, detailed information will be released later.

Over the past day, Russian troops launched 7 missile attacks, 2 of which targeted the peaceful city of Uman, 43 air strikes, and 79 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. There were civilian casualties.

The threat of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.

Heavy fighting continues in 4 frontline areas, 43 combat clashes occur

Russian troops attack in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions, heavy fighting continues. 

On June 8, 43 combat clashes took place in the above-mentioned areas.

  • On the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops maintain a military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine, reinforcing the border protection group by reallocating resources from territorial defense troops.

Over the past day, they launched air strikes near 3 settlements in the Sumy region.

Furthermore, Russian forces launched mortar and artillery attacks, targeting a total of 14 settlements across Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

  • In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops carried out an air strike near a settlement in the  Kharkiv region.

Eight settlements across Kharkiv and Luhansk regions came under artillery and mortar fire.

  • In the Lyman direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near Vesele in the Donetsk region over the past day.

Seven settlements across Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under artillery fire.

  • In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near 4 settlements.

Russian troops launched air strikes near 2 settlements. They also shelled 12 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.

  • In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near 2 settlements.

The Russian army also launched air strikes near Avdiivka in the Donetsk region and shelled 5 settlements with artillery. 

  • In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous attacks near the town of Marinka. Russia suffered losses in manpower and equipment.

Russian troops shelled 3 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.

  • In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops launched an air strike on a settlement and shelled 4 more settlements. 
  • In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian forces are on the defensive.

They carried out air strikes on 5 settlements in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.

Russian forces shelled 14 settlements across Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.

Ukrainian Armed Forces hit 5 Russian control points, 8 artillery units at firing positions and 2 more important targets

Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian defense forces carried out 19 strikes on concentrations of Russian personnel and 2 on the anti-aircraft missile systems.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian missile and artillery units struck 5 control points, 6 concentrations of manpower, weapons and military equipment, 2 anti-aircraft missile systems, 8 artillery units at firing positions and 2 more important targets.

In addition, 6 strike and 4 reconnaissance UAVs of various types were destroyed.

  • Earlier, the General Staff stated that Russian troops are settling people evacuated from the Kherson region in areas where Russian military forces are already stationed, with the intention of using civilians as human shields.
