Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminate about 230 Russian soldiers in 3 directions per day - AFU General Staff

In the Lyman and Bakhmut directions, Russia suffered losses with over 160 soldiers reported killed and approximately 230 wounded in a single day. In the Marinka direction, around 70 killed and over 100 wounded

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information in a morning briefing on June 6.

On June 5, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched coordinated actions that resulted in significant losses for Russian forces in Lyman and Bakhmut directions. More than 160 Russian soldiers were reported killed and 230 wounded.

Russia’s losses in weapons and military equipment amounted to 28 units.

Furthermore, the aviation of the Ukrainian defense forces launched 19 air strikes targeting personnel concentrations, as well as 5 airstrikes on Russian anti-aircraft missile systems in the past day.

Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit 2 control centers, 12 concentrations of manpower, weapons and military equipment, an ammunition depot, an anti-aircraft missile system, 12 artillery units at firing positions, and 4 other important targets.

Ukrainian soldiers also managed to destroy 10 reconnaissance UAVs and 6 attack UAVs of various types.

Russia has launched 4 missile and 64 air strikes against Ukraine over the last day

During the past day, the Russian army launched 4 missile strikes and 64 air strikes, along with 64 MLRS attacks, targeting the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Tragically, alongside the devastating destruction of infrastructure, civilian casualties have been reported.

The threat of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains very high.

More than 40 combat clashes have occurred along the frontline: the situation in the directions

Russian troops attempt to fully occupy Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Over 40 combat engagements took place in the last day.

On the northern border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed, and there are no indications of offensive groups forming. Belarus continues to support the Russian armed aggression by conducting training of Russian units at its training grounds.

On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops maintain military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. 

Over the past day, they launched a missile attack on the city of Kharkiv, using 3 S-300 missiles. They also launched air strikes near 3 settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

Furthermore, Russian forces launched mortar and artillery attacks, targeting a total of 33 settlements across Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

In the Kupyansk direction, 9 settlements across Kharkiv and Luhansk regions came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region over the past day.

They carried out air strikes near 2 settlements in Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Six settlements across the regions came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near Ivaniske.

Russian troops launched air strikes near 2 settlements and a missile attack on one of the settlements, resulting in the destruction of residential buildings. 

They also shelled 9 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near Avdiivka and 2 other settlements.

The Russian army also launched air strikes near Avdiivka in the Donetsk region and shelled 7 settlements with artillery. 

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous attacks near the town of Marinka. Russia suffered significant losses in manpower and equipment.

Russia’s estimated losses over the past day in this direction alone amounted to about 70 killed and more than 100 wounded. Also, 17 units of equipment were destroyed.

Russian troops launched an air strike on Marinka and shelled 5 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near Novosilka, as well as an air strike on one of the settlements. They also shelled 4 more settlements. Meanwhile, Ukrainian troops shot down a Russian Ka-52 helicopter in the area.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian forces are on the defensive.

They carried out an air strike on a settlement in the Kherson region.

Russian forces shelled 25 settlements across Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions.
