Ukrainian Armed Forces are fully prepared for possible Russian offensive in Kharkiv region — Regional Military Administration
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synyehubov, does not exclude the possibility of a Russian counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region. At the same time, he emphasized that the Armed Forces are ready for such a scenario.
Synyehubov said this during a telethon on February 8.
He reminded that the front line runs near Kupyansk, and the enemy is constantly trying to attack, but suffers losses and rolls back to its previous positions.
"Indeed, we are hearing information about attempts to re-attack the Kharkiv city and the settlements of the Kharkiv region. We are ready for this, our Armed Forces are strong and ready to respond to any attempts of this nature," said Synyehubov.
According to him, Russian troops are increasing their presence on the front line.
"This is the Kupyansk and Dvorichn directions, as well as in the direction of Kreminna. We can see it, the enemy's goal is to prevent the Ukrainian Armed Forces from advancing. There are certain manoeuvres going on there, and we do not include actual attempts at a counteroffensive by the enemy. However, our soldiers are fully prepared for this," emphasized Synyehubov.
- National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov suggested that the Russian occupiers might attack in the Kharkiv or Zaporizhzhia regions.
