Ukraine’s Defence Forces repelled all Russian attacks near Marinka, enemy's offensive at Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions was unsuccessful - General Staff

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Last night, Russia launched another missile and air strike against Ukraine, using 6 Kh-22 air-launched cruise missiles, 4 Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles and 10 Iranian Shahed-131/136 attack drones.

Over the past day, the enemy launched 37 air strikes and fired 32 times at our positions and populated areas from missile systems.

The enemy continues to be active in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka sectors, with 39 combat engagements taking place over the last day.

Situation in the directions

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected.

The enemy conducted air strikes on the settlements of Hirky in the Chernihiv region and Budarky and Vesele in the Kharkiv region. Russian troops fired mortar and artillery shells at the 15 settlements in Sumy region; 2 settlements of Chernihiv region, as well as 11 settlements of Kharkiv region.

• Kupiansk direction: the Russian army launched an airstrike near Kyslivka in the Kharkiv region. 6 settlements of Kharkiv region and Novoselivske in Luhansk region came under artillery and mortar fire.
• Lyman direction: Russian military tried to advance near Vesele. They launched an airstrike near Ivanivka, Donetsk region. 3 settlements of Luhansk region and 5 settlements of Donetsk region came under artillery fire.
• Bakhmut direction, the enemy conducted futile offensives near Yahidne and Berkhivka over the day. He carried out air strikes near 5 settlements of the Donetsk region. Hostile artillery shelling affected the areas of 12 settlements of Donetsk region.
• Avdiivka direction: the enemy conducted offensive actions in the direction of Avdiivka, but didn't succeed. He carried out air strikes in the areas of Avdiivka and Novobakhmutivka. It shelled the areas of 11 settlements of Donetsk region.
• Marinka direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the area of Marinka. At the same time, the Russian Federation fired artillery near 8 settlements of Donetsk region.
• Shakhtarsk direction: the Russian army launched an airstrike near Zolota Nyva, firing at the localities of 10 settlements of Donetsk region.
• Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions: the enemy holds the defense, shelling with artillery the 5 settlements of the Donetsk region; 22 settlements of Zaporizhzhia region; 22 settlements of Kherson region and Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region.

Russian military losses

Over the past day, Ukraine’s aircraft conducted 12 strikes on enemy positions. During the same time, missile and artillery units hit 11 points where enemy soldiers were concentrated, 1 anti-aircraft missile system and 3 electronic warfare stations of the Russian army.

• The Ukrainian counteroffensive began on June 4. On the same day, the first villages in Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions were liberated. On the southern front, the counteroffensive is more successful, but there are also achievements near Bakhmut.

• On June 13, the Russian army tried to regain control of the de-occupied village of Makarivka in Donetsk region, near the administrative border of Zaporizhzhia region.

• As of the morning of June 14, a representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalov, emphasized that active hostilities continued in the 3 areas of the Berdiansk direction in Makarivka, Novodanylivka and Novopokrovka.

• On June 14, Captain Valerii Prozapas of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade noted that the Ukrainian Defenсe Forces were intensifying combat operations in the Azov direction.
