Ukraine’s army counteroffensive is "just around the corner", Colonel General Syrskyi says
Ukraine's Land Forces Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the defense of Bakhmut is necessary to accumulate reserves and launch a spring counteroffensive, which is "just around the corner"
This was reported by the Land Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
They informed that Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, commander of Ukraine's Land Forces and Eastern Operational Command, continues to work at the most important areas of the front with his units.
According to the commander, Ukrainian troops are giving a worthy rebuff to the enemy and continue to hold Bakhmut. Forces and resources are being deployed to defend the city, preventing the enemy from realizing its intentions, disrupting its plans and forcing it to stop advancing.
"The real heroes now are the defenders who are holding the eastern front on their shoulders and inflicting maximum losses on the enemy without sparing either themselves or the enemy. It is necessary to gain time to accumulate reserves and launch a spring counteroffensive, which is just around the corner," said Syrskyi.
The commander of Ukraine's Land Forces constantly monitors the operational situation at the front and takes the necessary measures to keep Bakhmut under Ukrainian control.
