In Bakhmut, Syrskyi has discussed with commanders strengthening defense capabilities of front line units
The Commander of the Eastern Military Grouping Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi visited Bakhmut to discuss with the commanders the enhancement of defense capabilities of units on the front line
This was reported by the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The enemy does not give up hope of capturing Bakhmut and continues to accumulate forces to occupy the city," the statement said.
It is noted that the Russian invaders have sent their most trained units of the Wagner PMC and regular units of the Russian army to capture the city. Intense fighting is taking place in and around Bakhmut.
During his visit to the city, Syrskyi heard reports from commanders on the situation in their subordinate units. He also discussed with them the problematic issues of increasing the defense capability of Ukrainian units on the front line.
"The commander supported and encouraged with valuable gifts the defenders who are an example of resilience, courage and heroism in the battles for Bakhmut," the Land Forces emphasized.
- On March 3, the commander of the Armed Forces unit, Denys Yaroslavskyi, said that some units received a command to leave Bakhmut for rotation to more secure positions.
