Ukraine's Armed Forces face powerful Russian group of up to 50,000 troops in Bakhmut sector

He said this on Espreso TV. 

“The enemy has concentrated a very powerful group in the Bakhmut sector. The criminal Wagner PMC was replaced by the airborne motorized rifle units. The Russians sent the Bars combat army reserve, territorial troops, and Veterans PMC to this area. In total, we are facing up to 50,000 troops, more than 300 tanks, 330 different artillery systems and about 140 MLRS in the Bakhmut sector,” noted Cherevatyi.

The spokesperson for the Eastern Military Grouping added that in the Bakhmut direction, the invading Russian forces mined all approaches to their positions and are building new fortifications.

“But this does not stop the movement of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are moving in a balanced manner, in accordance with all the rules of military science. The enemy is hit by fire, we demine the fields, and then our infantry reinforced with armored vehicles moves in. Step by step, Ukrainian land is being liberated,” emphasized Cherevatyi.

• Despite the losses, the invading  Russian forces are attacking in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions. 

• The Ukrainian Armed Forces are advancing in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, with partial success, while putting pressure on the Russian army on the flanks of Bakhmut.
