Heavy fighting continues in 3 directions, over 30 combat clashes take place in a day - Ukraine’s General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shared the information in a morning report on June 30.

Russian troops attack in Lyman, Bakhmut and Marinka directions, and heavy fighting continues. 

During the day, 31 combat engagements took place there.

Russia launches 29 air strikes and 60 MLRS attacks on Ukraine in a day

Over the past day, Russian troops launched 6 anti-aircraft guided missiles from S-300 systems against civilian infrastructure in the cities of Zaporizhzhia and Chuhuiv.

In addition, the Russian army launched 29 air strikes and 60 MLRS attacks at Ukrainian troop positions and populated areas.

The threat of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.

The situation in different regions of Ukraine

On the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops launched mortar and artillery attacks, targeting a total of 10 settlements across Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops launched air strikes near Kyslivka. They also shelled 2 settlements across the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near Bilohorivka and Rozdolivka. They also launched air strikes near 3 settlements and shelled 5 settlements in Luhansk and Donetsk regions with artillery.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near Bakhmut. They also launched air strikes near 2 settlements and shelled over 10 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near Avdiivka with aviation support. They shelled over 5 settlements with artillery. 

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled all attacks near Marinka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka. 

They also launched air strikes near 2 settlements and shelled over 10 more settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.

In the Shakhtarsk direction,  Russian troops launched an unsuccessful assault near Novomykhailivka.

Russian troops launched air strikes on 4 settlements and shelled over 10 others. 

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian forces’ priority is preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops.

Russian troops also launched air strikes on 4 settlements and shelled over 25 settlements across Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.

Ukrainian Armed Forces hit 3 Russian control points and 13 artillery units at firing positions

Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian defense forces launched 11 strikes on concentrations of Russian personnel.

Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit 3 Russian control points, 2 manpower concentrations, a radar station and 13 artillery units at firing positions.

• Units of the Ukrainian National Guard eliminated over 300 Russian soldiers in all combat areas over the past week. In addition, they destroyed 5 tanks, 12 armored vehicles, 9 vehicles, 3 self-propelled artillery systems, 2 Borisoglebsk-2 electronic warfare systems, as well as a company stronghold and an ammunition depot.
