Ukraine’s Air Force comments on specifics of night attack, why Kyiv needs more protection

Yurii Ihnat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported the information on the United News national telethon.

"The peculiarity of this attack is that this time there was no launch of ballistic missiles. It was ballistic missiles that were launched last time. Back then, there were aerial ballistic missiles, as well as those flying on a ballistic trajectory. This time, the enemy limited itself to cruise missiles. This is how we have such a successful result today," said Ihnat.

He also noted that Russia attacks the capital most often, so the city needs more protection.

"We can't tell you what and where is protected and how many air defense systems are in place. But discussions are definitely dangerous in terms of information. The military leadership, the top leadership of the state, knows where, who, how many and with what they are attacking. We need to count the number of attacks that Kyiv has taken. Because Kyiv is attacked most often, and where it is attacked most often, it needs more protection. This is obvious and should be clear to everyone," Ihnat said.
