Russia’s night attack: Ukrainian forces destroy 29 out of 30 cruise missiles
Air defense forces repelled several waves of missile attacks from different directions and destroyed 29 cruise missiles
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on May 18.
The Russian forces were attacking Ukraine from 9:00 p.m. on May 17 to 05:30 a.m. on May 18. The enemy launched several waves of missile attacks from different directions.
In total, the Russian military launched 30 sea-based, air-based, and land-based cruise missiles.
"22 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles were fired from strategic aviation aircraft: two Tu-160 and eight Tu-95. Six Kalibr cruise missiles were fired from ships in the Black Sea. Two Iskander-K cruise missiles were launched from ground-based operational-tactical missile systems," the report said.
The Air Force and Defense Forces units destroyed 29 cruise missiles.
Two Shahed-136/131 strike UAVs and two operational-tactical reconnaissance UAVs were shot down.
