Il-76 military transport plane crashes in Russia
On March 12, an Il-76 military transport plane with 15 people on board crashed in the Ivanovo region of the Russian Federation. During takeoff, the engine caught fire. After making a circle, the crew tried to make an emergency landing on the runway, but failed, Brief writes.
"A military Il-76 crashed during takeoff in the Ivanovo region. There were eight crew members and seven passengers on board. The crash was caused by a fire in one of the engines during takeoff," RIA Novosti quoted the Defense Ministry as saying.
SBU exposes FSB agent network
The Ukrainian Security Service in Kyiv neutralized the FSB agent network, whose members created and distributed materials with pro-Kremlin narratives. This was reported by the SBU and the Prosecutor General’s Office.
This is one of the largest groups that has operated in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion. The network included leaders of NGOs and employees of the UOC-MP media unit, who created materials promoting Ukraine's return to Russian influence in the religious, cultural, and political spheres.
Lukoil plant in Russia loses half of its capacity after drone attack
Lukoil-Nizhny Novgorodnefteorgsintez (NORSI) refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod region has lost its primary oil refining unit AVT-6, which accounts for about half of the company's capacity, following a night attack.
"Industry sources told Reuters on condition of anonymity that the main crude distillation unit (AVT-6) at NORSI was damaged in the attack, which means that at least half of the refinery's production is halted. Lukoil declined to comment," the agency writes.
According to industry sources, NORSI refines about 15.8 million tons of Russian oil per year, or 5.8% of the total volume of refined oil.

Denmark announces new aid package for Ukraine
Denmark has announced another package of military assistance to Ukraine worth $330 million. It includes Caesar self-propelled artillery systems.
This was reported by the press service of the Danish Ministry of Defense.
The package provides for the transfer of Caesar self-propelled artillery systems, self-propelled 120 mm mortars and ammunition to Ukraine.
"Artillery and mortar systems are in great demand in Ukraine. With this aid package, we are making a significant contribution to the fight for Ukraine's freedom... The aid is provided in cooperation with our allies and sends an important signal that we support Ukraine on a broad front," said Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.
This is the 16th package of military assistance that Denmark will provide to Ukraine to protect it from Russian aggression.
