Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has drawn the attention of the American cosmetics brand MAC to the name of a popular lipstick shade that glorifies Russia

A corresponding post appeared on the X page of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Ukraine's Foreign Affairs Ministry called on the American brand MAC to stop using the name of the aggressor country in the name of a popular lipstick shade.
“Russian Red is the name of a popular shade, especially of the MAC cosmetics brand. Yet, it's not about beauty or love at all. It's the color of the blood of Ukrainians killed by Russia every day. It's a true color of war that nobody should ever experience,” the statement says.
The agency added a hashtag #StopRussianRed calling for the use of this name to be stopped.
MAC cosmetics was founded in 1984. The company's products are sold in more than 120 countries. The brand is headquartered in New York.
