Ukraine should get simplified procedure for joining NATO – MP Kravchuk
Ukraine’s MP Yevhenia Kravchuk believes that the classic MAP for NATO membership is not quite right for Ukraine
She expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel.
"Ukraine is now conducting very coordinated international activities for the NATO summit to be held in Vilnius. It is worth noting that our president speaks about this summit at every international meeting. We, as MPs, have adopted a resolution. That is, we are articulating the position that it is not enough for us to simply repeat what has happened since 2008," Kravchuk explained.
The MP added that Ukraine should receive a simplified procedure for joining NATO.
"It is clear that we will not be admitted to NATO at the summit in Vilnius. We also understand that the MAP, as a standard procedure for joining NATO, is not quite right for us. In addition, there is the example of Finland. We need a simplified procedure for joining NATO. It should also be noted that our allies pay great attention to our actions at the front. We will not be accepted into NATO with an open conflict," she added.
