Ukraine-Russia negotiations limited to humanitarian track only
Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov says negotiations with Russia are currently limited to humanitarian issues, particularly the release of Ukrainian POWs

He shared the information in an interview with CNN.
Umerov reiterated that negotiations with the Moscow delegation had previously taken place in Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
“At the moment we continue humanitarian part where we release and exchange prisoners of war,” the NSDC secretary said.
He added that during President Zelenskyy’s visit to Washington, he and European leaders agreed to hold bilateral and trilateral meetings.
“At this stage, we are waiting when the trilateral and bilateral meetings will be done,” Umerov said.
- Earlier Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said any foreign troops in Ukraine would be considered a "legitimate target," and that trying to tempt Putin with renewed U.S. trade won't stop the war.
