Starting at 9:30 p.m. on May 5, Russia launched 136 attack drones and decoy UAVs from several locations: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Prymorsk in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region.
Ukrainian aviation, air defense missile systems, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire teams successfully repelled the Russian air attack.
As of 10:30 a.m., Ukrainian forces had confirmed the downing of 54 Russian attack drones across the east, north, south, and central regions of the country. In addition, another 70 Russian decoy drones were neutralized.
One Russian drone remained airborne at the time, with combat operations still ongoing.
- As a result of the Russian drone attack, Ukraine’s Kharkiv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions sustained damage. In Odesa region, one person was killed, while in Kharkiv, at least one person was reported wounded.
