Ukraine receives more than 300 tons of equipment from Germany to restore energy infrastructure
As of February 11, Ukraine has received almost 334 tons of equipment from Germany to repair energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks
The information was reported by Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy.
Since July 2022, Ukraine has received 43 shipments of humanitarian aid from German partners with almost 334 tons of equipment for energy needs. Thus, 4 cargoes were delivered over the past week. They carried more than 59 tons of equipment.
In particular, the Ministry of Energy received 40 transformers as part of the German-Ukrainian Energy Partnership's donor assistance campaign. They came from the German grid operator Stromnetz Berlin GmbH.
The equipment sent to Ukraine by German partners also includes generators, overhead line fittings, distribution and lighting equipment, and electrical tools.
"I am grateful to Germany for standing by Ukraine and Ukrainians in such difficult times. This equipment, combined with the heroism of our power engineers, helps to return power and heat to the homes of Ukrainians," said Ukrainian Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko.
