Ukraine may start EU accession talks at end of the year - Lithuanian President Nausėda
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda admits that negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU may start at the end of the year if Kyiv fulfills all the recommendations of the European Commission.

He said this during a conversation with journalists in Brussels.
According to Nauseda, it is important to send certain signals to Russia and assess Ukraine's European integration efforts during the summit.
"I very much hope that Ukraine, which is very successfully implementing the reforms recommended by the European Commission, will be able to get the final conclusions in October and perhaps the European Council will be able to make an immediate positive decision at the end of this year," the Lithuanian president said.
- On February 9, Presidents of Ukraine and France Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Emmanuel Macron arrived in Brussels to participate in the EU summit.
- Earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that Ukraine wants to go through the EU accession negotiations in less than 2 years.
