Ukraine calls on Europe to tighten transport sanctions against Russia
Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov held an online meeting with the ministers of European countries, where he discussed new sanctions against Russia, the restoration of Ukraine and the logistics of humanitarian cargo.
He announced this on the Telegram channel.
"Yesterday I took part in a multilateral online meeting of the ministers of Poland, Austria, the Czech Republic, France, Germany and Ukraine, as well as the EU Commissioner for Transport. Thanks to the Minister of Infrastructure of Poland Andrzej Adamczyk for organizing this event. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky also joined us for some time", he wrote.
One of the main topics of the meeting was the discussion of new transport sanctions against the Russian Federation. The minister noted the importance of blocking access for Russian and Belarusian vehicles to the EU road system. He added that Ukraine expects refusal to issue permits for international cargo transportation for carriers of the invader and its allies.
