Ukraine announces extension of "hot season" in Crimea for Russian troops
The spokesperson of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, Captain 1st Rank Natalia Humeniuk, says the recent events in Crimea are one of the elements of a large and powerful operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
She shared the information on Espreso TV channel.
"The main thing to understand is that information about the work of the Ukrainian Defense Forces should be dosed. There was quite a lot of good news after that night, related to the targets that were hit in Sevastopol. We are now conducting further reconnaissance and gathering information about the impact of the attack. The situation on the Crimean peninsula is quite turbulent. In our turn, despite the fact that the weather is now characterized by cool nights, we promise to continue the "hot season" for the occupiers in Crimea," stated Humeniuk.
The spokesperson emphasized that Russian troops will try to strengthen the air defense of strategic facilities in Crimea
"It is clear that after the recent events, the occupiers will try to strengthen air defense in the occupied Crimea. This is especially true for the objects that are strategically important to them. They are also fully aware of the level of danger we are able to provide and will therefore try to respond to our actions. We are ready for anything. I want to note that the recent events are one of the elements of a large and powerful operation," she added.
On September 12, the General Staff reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have had partial success near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region: they are pushing Russian troops out of their positions and consolidating their own positions.
On September 13, Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier Yevhen Iyevlyev told Espreso TV that the density of Russian mortar attacks had increased by 2 times over the past week.
