The Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland claims that the country's government allowed the possibility of incidents such as the rocket crash in Przewodów, which is a consequence of Russian armed aggression

This became known from a conversation between Deputy Foreign Minister Pawel Jablonski on the Polish Radio RMF FM.

"For the first time since the beginning of the war, we are dealing with the consequences of Russia's attack on Ukraine. We assumed it might happen, and that was yesterday. Polish citizens were killed," Deputy Foreign Minister Pawel Jablonski said in a "Rankova Rozmova" program on RMF FM.

The official said that there are various hypotheses about what happened in Przewodow.

"What appears in the media is not always confirmed...We will officially release the information, but we must be cautious about disinformation attempts. From the attack on Ukraine, Russians are highly active in this area from the beginning," Jablonski comments.

The official said that using the fourth article of NATO is "one of the opportunities that should be considered in this situation. It provides for consultations in a situation where the security of any member states is under threat, even if there was no direct, deliberate armed attack."

According to the deputy minister, air defence systems will never be able to protect every millimetre of the country: "in our missile and aviation protection system, strategic goals are a priority." The Deputy Foreign Minister also said that one should not believe the information that NATO will not respond in the event of an attack on Poland. "These are attempts to misinform our society. Attempts to weaken support for Ukraine because it strengthens our security. Therefore, he said that Russia would try to reverse it by using various types of relay channels in Poland," he said.

Jablonski emphasises that Russia wants to cause a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine with such actions.

"The attack on civilian and critical infrastructure is another criminal action by Russia aimed at undermining the morale of Ukrainians. Russia intends to cause a humanitarian disaster on purpose," he stressed.
