There will be no attack by "hundreds of Russian warplanes" on Kyiv, Ukraine’s Air Force assures
An attack by hundreds of Russian aircraft on Kyiv is impossible. The country is reliably protected by modern air defence systems, so "there will be no easy ride in the Ukrainian sky"
This was stated by the speaker of the Air Force Command, Yuriy Ihnat, during a telethon.
"Many "experts" talk about hundreds, some hordes of aircraft... It will never happen! No one fights like that, this is not World War II. In modern warfare, high-precision weapons and missile weapons are used. The 40 airfields that the enemy uses to take off aircraft are located at different distances (from 200 to 700 kilometres) from the Ukrainian border. The enemy has been using these airfields in attacks against Ukraine since the first days of the war," Ihnat said.
According to him, Ukrainian air defence is reinforced by such systems as Iris-T and NASAMS, and Ukraine is waiting for more.
"Nobody will give anyone an easy ride in the Ukrainian sky, it is obvious," the Air Force spokesman assured.
