Ukrainian military exercise to defend Kyiv

The Kyiv City Military Administration reports this on Telegram.

"Starting February 21, 2023, and over the next few days, a grouping of Kyiv defense forces will conduct exercises to defend the capital of Ukraine. According to the scenario, the enemy is conducting an offensive operation from the north. The task of the Kyiv defense forces is to work out the full range of tasks for the defense of the capital under the leadership of the commander. In addition, during the training, our military plan to conduct exercises to protect civilians in combat conditions," said Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

According to him, the Kyiv City Military Administration (consisting of certain structural units) and district state administrations are participating in the exercises.

"We emphasize that this is a planned practice of the Kyiv defense forces. Currently, the threat of an attack on the capital from the north is minimal. The situation is stable and under control. Believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!" said Popko.

• Military expert Mykola Salamakha is convinced that the Russian-Belarusian troops will be destroyed in the case of a repeated offensive on the territory of Ukraine.
