The US State Department has said that Russia is spreading lies about the creation of biological weapons in Ukraine

This was stated by US State Department spokesman Ned Price.

"This Russian misinformation is nonsense, and it is not the first time that Russia has made such false allegations against another country. In addition, these allegations have been definitively and repeatedly refuted over the years," he said.

Price stressed that Russia was coming up with false excuses in an attempt to justify its horrific actions in Ukraine. He also noted that the United States does not own or operate chemical or biological laboratories in Ukraine, they are fully complying with their obligations under the conventions on the prohibition of chemical and biological weapons.

Note that Russia has experience in accusing the West of the same crimes that it commits itself.

"This tactic is an obvious ploy by Russia to try to justify further deliberate, unprovoked and unjustified attacks on Ukraine. We fully expect Russia to continue to duplicate such allegations, making new baseless allegations," Ned Price added.
