"The Russians kept us in the basements, and they robbed our apartments": a journalist about the captivity in the residential complex "Pokrovsky" in Gostomel
Journalist Ruslan Vinichenko, who managed to escape from Russian captivity in the Pokrovsky residential complex in Gostomel, told how the Russians held them captive and robbed their apartments.
He told about it on air Espresso.TV
"Me and my girlfriend were taken prisoner by the Russians on March 3 in Gostomel. We and other residents of the Pokrovsky residential complex were taken into the basement at gunpoint. There were 60 people in my basement and 90 people in the basement next door. They kept us in the basements and robbed our apartments. A few days later, the Russians allowed us to go up to our apartments to get some things. The invaders took absolutely everything from our apartments. I'm not talking about jewelry, they even stole my shoes. " - Vinichenko said.
The journalist shared that the invaders even took children's underwear. He said that one of the occupiers of short height stole children's underwear and shoes in a neighboring apartment.
“There were not the most pleasant smells in my apartment. Bottles of alcohol were lying everywhere. The invaders arranged a place for a sniper in my kitchen. The front door to my apartment was just blown up. ” - Vinichenko added.
The journalist also denied the information that no resident of the Pokrovsky residential complex had died. According to him, he personally saw one deceased neighbor.
"On the day we were taken prisoner, the Russians shot our apartment complex. They drove closer their tanks and infantry fighting vehicles. There were significantly more hits than reported in official information. They just fired at our building for half a day. Probably to intimidate us. ” - Vinichenko told
We will remind that on March 4 it became known that in Gostomel about 40 inhabitants of the residential complex "Pokrovsky" are probably held hostage by occupiers. The head of the local community was killed.
The body of the head of the Gostomel town council Yuri Prilipko was killed by the Russian military after the murder
