The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to allow people to leave blocked Mariupol
He wrote about this on Twitter.
"Call with President Putin. Strongly urged for immediate humanitarian access and safe passage from Mariupol and other besieged cities all the more on the occasion of Orthodox Easter", Michel said.
He assured that the EU continues to adhere to its position on supporting Ukraine, the sanctions policy against the Russian Federation, as well as condemning Russian aggression.
